It all started one day when Mom had to leave for a week and she convinced Grandpa to come and take care of us. Grandpa is fun because he gives us extra food, but he sure hates cleaning up our wet messes – and we wet a lot! Mom knew she had to do something, or we'd be soaked by the time she returned. Since we have our own room, Mom decided to cover the floor with a product she'd been working on for humans who stand in wet areas like kitchens. It had slots in it to drain away moisture, and the foam is really comfortable. Before she put the matting down, Mom laid an absorbing pad like the kind they use for water spills. Then, she put the matting on top. We loved it! The padding was soft and dry, and we could run and play and wrestle all we wanted! But the best part was that Grandpa didn't have to worry about mopping up our accidents all week. The special matting just soaked everything up under the mat and away from us! (Well, all except for the one poopy package Curly left. Geez, he's got no control.) When Mom returned and saw how well this worked for us, she knew this matting could help other pets stay just as dry and comfortable as we were. And that's how Pad-A-Paw was born! |
